Peterson Genetics President and OwnerPeterson Genetics has been licensing soybean genetics for 45 years. Mike Peterson says over those years, “it’s been a great pleasure to assist seed companies to select the very best varieties for their marketing efforts.” Peterson Genetics values honest data, excellent customer service, superior product knowledge, and the friendships they have formed in the seed industry. “I was born in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and haven’t gotten very far in life—I still live here. My first job in the industry was end-trimming soybean plots and working the crossing block, which thankfully only lasted one summer!” says Peterson. He graduated from Iowa State in Agricultural Business, joined the company in 1983, and has been at it ever since. Their team may be small in numbers, but they are not to be underestimated. “We have a whopping 12 employees, but they are a skilled and dedicated bunch,” Peterson says. According to Peterson, the sales team being highlighted here takes great pride in being a trusted source of knowledge for the members of the IPSA. |
